Invest Huíla 2019 is a continuation of a program started in 2015 by the Provincial Government of Huíla. The purpose of the program is to encourage the economic and social possibilities for the province in the hopes of furthering public and private investments.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Serra da Chela Hotel at R. Dr. Agostinho Netro, Lubango.

During the first edition of Invest Huíla, seven strategic investment sectors were chosen and in the second edition, three sectors (agriculture, tourism and industry) will be the focus.

It is hoped that this program will help to encourage public and private project for those who are seeking investment opportunities, as well as to increase local entrepreneurship. The collaboration of several economic partners is especially needed: Cooperative of the Southern Angolan Cattle Breeders, Lubango Agribusiness and Industrial Association, Angolan Forum of Young Entrepreneurs, Women Entrepreneurs Association and Mandume Ya Ndemufayo University, to name a few.

With the many investment opportunities that exist in the Huíla Province, it is hoped that the 2019 forum will simulate the growth of both national and foreign investors while also promoting innovative initiatives that there are throughout the province.
