Agostinho Neto University issued the following announcement on Sep. 11
To greet the 17th September Patron Day of the Agostinho Neto University (UAN) and the 28th September , Day of the Agostinho Neto University, UAN holds the AGOSTINHO NETO JOURNEYS – SEPTEMBER 2019 .
The opening act will take place at the Agostinho Neto University Campus, on September 13th at 09h00, and will be marked by the Prayer of Wisdom on the theme: “ Agostinho Neto’s political journey and his legacy to the current Angolan Socio-political context ” , Will be given by Dr. Luisa Damião.
The opening act of the August August Days – September 2019, will address various topics, namely: “Augustine Neto’s vision for the promotion of Angolan culture” , will be presented by Dr. Cornélio Caley; “Angolanity in the poetry of Agostinho Neto” will be given by Professor Doctor Petelo Nguinamau Fidel.
During the activity there will be a Press Conference on the Agostinho Neto Scholarships offered by the Boa Via group.
The August Neto-September 2019 Days will take place according to the following activity schedule:

Opening of the Days Agostinho Neto- September 2019
Location: UAN Campus at 9am
From 18 to 27 September – Sports Days
From 18 to 21 Football Tournament 11
28th September- Marathon called: “Race for Health”
September 26th and 27th
1st Edition of the Innovation and Development Fair
Location: UAN Campus
From 30th September to 4th October
7th Edition of Agostinho Neto University Book Fair
Location: On Ho Chi Min Avenue, Department of Architecture, UAN Faculty of Engineering
The 28 of September of 1976, day in which the old University of Luanda was transformed, through the ordinance 77-A / 76 in University of Angola, that would give rise to the Agostinho Neto University, in 1985, in honor of the Dr. António Agostinho Neto, founder of the nation.
