Catholic University of Angola issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.

MBA Atlântico ended the second semester of another academic year. The closing ceremony took place in the university extension building, in the square of the schools, and was marked by the round table on “Entrepreneurship in Angola: Challenges and Opportunities”, which aimed to promote a debate on technology-based entrepreneurship, based on in new premises and in accordance with international trends.

Present were Wilson Ganga, co-founder of Tupuca, César Cardoso, founder of E-Caderneta, and Custódio Ribeiro, Vice-Dean for postgraduate studies at the School of Economics and Management, Maria Pinto, Director of Information Systems at the Bank. Angola, Ana Côrte-Real, Vice-Dean of Católica Porto Business School, as well as representatives of partner companies of Católica Luanda Business School and MBA Atlântico students. 

Participants concluded that there are opportunities for entrepreneurs in Angola, but that the challenges of hiring staff, the lack of infrastructure such as energy, water, means of communication, and the lack of financing in their various modalities, among others, condition them. the action of the entrepreneurs. It was also mentioned that there is a lack of training for entrepreneurs, who own micro, small and medium enterprises.

The 8th edition of the MBA Atlântico has 17 participants, including 6 Angolans, and is a partnership of the Catholic Luanda Business School (CLBS), an organic unit of the Catholic University of Angola, with the Catholic Porto Business School and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. January. The second quarter of the Atlantic MBA ran from 19 May to 16 July. Students are currently on vacation. Then, they will go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where they will do the 3rd and last quarter, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
