Methodist University of Angola issued the following announcement on Sep. 12.

Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences in partnership with the National Blood Institute promoted on 27 and 28 August at Campus do Kinaxixe and on 03 and 04 September at Campus Kaop in Cacuaco a blood donation campaign. The Blood Donation campaign is an activity that is part of the Faculty’s Extra Curricular actions in partnership with the National Blood Institute, with the aim of maintaining the blood supply of health facilities. To Dr. Wato Njeka of the National Blood Institute, congratulated the initiative and opening of the University for the realization of this campaign and expressed satisfaction for the students’ adhesion during the two phases of the campaign. Dr. Helena Kirilova, Dean of the Faculty, assured that the objectives were achieved and that through this, They were able to help the country with the supply of blood to some health units, and Anilton Alfredo, a University student who also participated in the donation, congratulated the initiative of the Faculty and stressed the need for more students to join this important gesture. According to the report provided by the Faculty, more than 40 students from the Methodist University of Angola from both campuses donated blood and attended a lecture on the importance of blood donation to save lives.
