TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ANGOLA: Scientific Council of Utanga held 1st ordinary meeting of 2019

Technical University of Angola issued the following announcement on April 27.

The Scientific Council of the Technical University of Angola - UTANGA held yesterday (26-04-2019) its first ordinary meeting of the academic year 2019, under the chairmanship of its Magnificent Rector, Professor Albertino Candimba Sebastião, flanked by Vice Rectors for Research Scientific, Graduate and Extension University, Professor Doctor Yamilé Romero and for Academic Affairs and Student Life, Professor Francisco José Fernandes.  

The meeting approved some guidance documents of the Council, the presentation of the research lines of the Faculties of Management and Economic Sciences, of Letters and Social Sciences and of Engineering. At the time the new Secretary of the Scientific Council, Mestre Suraia da Conceição Munguengue, was elected.

The Scientific Council is a collegiate body with advisory, deliberative and executive functions in matters related to the scientific, research, postgraduate and university extension areas, aiming at guaranteeing a differentiated technical and scientific training of students that will provide its immediate and effective insertion in the labor market.

The Scientific Council meets semiannually on an ordinary and extraordinary basis, whenever the Rector deems necessary or at the request of at least one third of its members.
