Angola Cables issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.
Cape2Rio, the largest ocean race in the South Atlantic, starts on January 11, in Cape Town (South Africa), bound for Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
The Boat Angola Cables Mussulo 40 will represent the country in the double handed class category in one of the largest sailing events in the world.
"We are expected to make this crossing in 16 days, the larger boats can arrive in 12 days, which is 16 days and 22 hours," said José Guilherme Caldas, the vessel's commander.
